This small classic clutch is part of a very special collection that incorporates textiles from the Shipibo tribe in the Amazon. The women of the Shipibo tribe pass the weaving tradition down along generations.
On this particular clutch, you can see the kené (the intricately embroidered pattern) on the back and under the front flap. Kené is the Shipibo tribe's code. They do not consider it art, but instead, the recording of "the music of the jungle" woven through observation. There is no template or plan the women follow as each is a unique song.
A wonderfully unique clutch that is truly handmade with love.
